Legendary Hero Simulator

Al Wright of Alright Games here, dropping a new RPG Maker prototype.

For anyone who played my Crowning Legacy demo, this one works very similar to that, though this time the focus is much less on story and more on gameplay.

Brief of it is you pick a hero, get dropped into an appropriate time period and off you go exploring. Find and recruit other heroes into the party, fight enemies and bosses, talk to NPCs to get quest notes, beat the time period and travel to other time periods to do the same.

The prototype has these features:

*Three time periods: tribal, medieval and modern. The two former are a little more expanded, but the modern one is really short.

*Day/Night and changing seasons that mix up enemy spawns.

*Crafting - basic crafting can be done through the Options Menu. Each hero has a Gather Resources ability to get basic resources when you’re traveling in the outdoors.

*9 heroes. Some are melee, some are ranged, the Princess is a mix, and the Monk is a healer. The last one, the dog, is a little busted with its battle graphics, but generally works.

*3 bosses in the tribal and medieval periods each, 1 boss in the modern period and one final boss after you complete all 3 periods and use the time machine with a complete Energy Cristal.

*6 Quests are logged in a quest log that’ll give guidance on where to go and what to do. Talk to NPCs, they may unlock entries for each quest with more info. Questlog font might still be janky, but should be readable.

*Weapons and armor for each period. Tribal gear is pretty trash and breaks often, but you can craft that from the Option Menu at any time. Medieval iron and steel gear is much better, but needs a blacksmith in town to make those. There’s a chest at the blacksmith’s with all the metal resources you’d need for smithing. Modern period has guns, they’re pretty really strong, but you can only buy them from a shady dealer in town at nights.

The prototype should take around 2 hours to beat. There are a few smaller features like vehicles, a boat in medieval period and a car in modern period.

Note, I only tested the Windows version. The mobile one should work, but I can’t guarantee that lol
